“ I love Papi! Probably my 5th time coming down. The staff are really friendly and make your experience feel intimate Every dish we had was genuinely delicious. Seasoned perfectly and just hit the spot Will continue to come back as it is really great here. Pickle martinis were epic too. Everyone should try!!! ”

“ So I had just seen on Instagram that Papi had resumed their £1 oyster offer on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays earlier that week and since I was having a few pints nearby with a friend, we decided to pop in for dinner. Unfortunately, the oysters had already sold out, so we’ll have to come back another day and hope for better luck. Instead, we ordered from the main menu. We chose the Coppa, the Crab, Leek and XO Sauce, and the Pumpkin and Sheep’s Curd Ravioli with Whey and Gorgonzola. To go with the food, we picked a Spanish wine from Castilla La Mancha (my hometown), so I had to order it. The ravioli was one of the highlights of the evening, but the crab, leek and XO sauce dish was especially delicious. The service was excellent, and the best part was chatting with the sommelier, not just for recommendations, but also because of their impressive wine knowledge. A great experience overall, and highly recommended if you’re in London Fields. But bear in mind, it is not cheap. ”

“ Look - this place is simply outstanding. Go there as soon as possible. I have no idea why it's not always completely packed (I have only been at lunchtime). The depth of flavour on every dish is on point, it's an imaginative menu, and the wine list is honestly cray cray. Charlie in front of house is a treasure. If you like fab small plates and great wines you should add it to your list. Just thinking about it now - the lovely bitter taste of the radicchio. the taramasalata made with trout roe, served with some of the best french fries i have ever had. but dear lord that taramasalata. one of those things i always think i should like, way more than i actually do. here's it's just delicious. the basque cheese cake. oh my days. book a table. ”

“ Wife and I went for lunch a few weeks ago and we had a blast! Relaxed vibe with a killer playlist - a table got up an danced it was that good. The food is magnificent, but not pretentious at all. One of the things that made our experience great, was for that weekend only they were doing a fun thing where you could order 'a glass of wine' and then you get whatever the next bottle to be open is. So we had a different wine every time and they were all fantastic! I think they should do this all the time as it's just fun. Sure, I could open a wine list and order a different glass every time, but this was 'okay the next wine is...'. which made it a very memorable experience. I ordered two of the same puddings and I don't regret it. The only thing I'd say is it was a bit spenny. We had the Nightkey app and even then it was on the pricey side. But that being said, I have every intention of going again. ”

“ Everything we had was good, not specially incredible but really good. The shrimp was too little flesh for the amount of sauce and it also didn't come with any bread or anything so it was slightly awkward, the pate toast was the best dish, and the mushrooms and eggs were also great, I just think the texture of the potato bread doesn't much the mushroom texture that well. Great wine repertoire. ”

“ Papi mixes the freshest of produce with ingenious flavor combinations! It’s all plated beautifully and served with a friendly smile. The cucumber dish is a must, and so is the corn with the garlic butter! Do not skip the dessert because there is no better way to end the meal at Papi ”

- Manu Rathore -

“ This was a great meal, each dish perfectly executed and reached their high point effortlessly. The tartare was sublime, the asparagus had the perfect crunch, the chips crispy and piping hot, and kept their crisp. The pork was juicy and all the green leaves were bang full of flavour. The wines by the glass were very nice. The cocktails yum. Finally the best Basque Cheesecake ever! All in all a very good meal and lovely service. Only thing of note, be careful on ordering extras as the price did crap up a bit unexpectedly. N.B. The basement has a bar. The kitchen has a great display of fermented veg. ”

“ A fun restaurant with a unique and interesting menu. The food has the comfort/homemade element while still capturing the essence of fine dining. The restaurant is quite intimate and that, coupled with the lighting and open kitchen layout, creates a lovely ambiance. It has a great selection of wine too, with knowledgeable waiters. ”
